Emma Allan holds a Bachelor of Music in cello performance from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Australia as well as an Associate Diploma of Music on piano. She has recorded and toured internationally with orchestral rock band The Red Paintings and has been co-principal cellist of the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra. She currently performs with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra.

Since graduating in 2002, Emma has taught cello and piano students ranging from 5 years old, to teenagers, university students, adult learners and retirees. She focuses on building a foundation that encompasses all aspects of music learning and appreciation, enabling every student, at any age, to achieve their own personal excellence.

Emma is a professional member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association – regularly participating in workshops and events to engage with current pedagogical ideas. She teaches to each student’s individual skills to keep learning enjoyable, as well as an achievable challenge.
