Sarah began singing and dancing at a young age, knowing early on that performing was one of her passions. Sarah started dancing at age 5, and at age 11, Sarah was awarded a Silver Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music for achieving the highest mark in all of Ontario on the Grade 2 Singing examination. Sarah graduated from the Integrated Arts Program at Eastwood Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, majoring in dance, drama, and vocal. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Music (Education – Voice Major) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education from York University.

After spending several years living and teaching abroad in Honduras, Sarah returned home and jumped right back into the local arts scene. Sarah is a dance instructor teaching several different styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Creative Moment, Musical Theatre, Latin, African, and Bollywood. Sarah currently teaches classes at Davenport Dance Project and Let’s Dance.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys performing with KW Musical Productions. Some of her favourite roles include: Mrs. MacAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, Susan in The Full Monty, Mrs. Pye in Anne of Green Gables and Jack’s Mom in Into The Woods. Sarah was the choreographer for KW Musical Productions’ fall show: The Drowsy Chaperone and will choreograph February’s production of Grease.

Sarah is the Co-Founder/Camp Director of KW Stage School (www.stageschool.ca) which runs summer programs for kids who are interested in the performing arts.

Sarah is so excited to be returning to the KW GLEE team as a choreographer, as well as the teaching faculty at the Renaissance School of the Arts. She believes that everybody has the potential to be a star if they have the passion. She can’t wait to share HER passion with YOU!
