Leah is currently in her first year at Wilfrid Laurier University studying violin with Dr. Jeremy Bell. She began playing at the age of three at the Forest City School for Talent Education in London, Ontario. Over the years, Leah has played in a number of small chamber ensembles, one of which received the Gold medal for Open Chamber Ensemble in the OMFA Provincial Music Festival in Peterborough. She has played solos with the London Community Orchestra and the London Youth Symphony, as well as been the Concertmaster of the London Youth Symphony. She is currently a member of the WLU Orchestra. In addition to playing classically, Leah enjoys performing onstage as both a vocalist and a fiddler. She was most recently seen on stage in The VPP Christmas Jamboree and Fiddler on the Loose 2 (Victoria Playhouse Petrolia, 2014). Leah has lead sectionals with several high school orchestras and taught privately since age sixteen. In her spare time as a musician, Leah plays at weddings, retirement homes, and occasionally busks at the Covent Garden Market in London, ON.
