Karli Purcell received her Honours Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Voice, from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013. She studied as a mezzo soprano under the teaching of Brandon Leis, tenor. Since her time at Laurier, Karli has made a name for herself in the Canadian Country music industry – both as a songwriter and performer. She has two singles at radio, working alongside CCMA award winning producer Jason Barry, and is quickly developing a growing performance history having shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry including opening for Canadian legend Terri Clark. Karli has also been named one of the top 10 Independant country songwriters in Canada, in the Ole On The Spot contest as part of Country Music Week at the CCMAs. Beyond that, her vast musical background expands into musical theatre, pop, and Christian genres. She loves to instil a passion for music and singing in her students – and work on the music that they love while honing their skills! You can read more about Karli at www.karlijune.com.
